The event simulated an inquiry into two pharmacists before the preliminary proceedings committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. The objective of the mock hearing was to give members a unique insight into how professional misconduct hearings operate such as those that come before the PSI, the Medical Council, the Nursing Board, the Dental Council, the Teaching Council. The roles of the PPC panel, legal assessor and counsel were filled by experienced practitioners of professional regulatory and disciplinary law while devils played the roles of complainant, respondent and witnesses.  

The Mock Hearing was conducted to a full room of law library members and simultaneous streamed online.
